The story

Our barn quilt was designed around the letter “H”. The “H” represents the Hodgert family name, the County of Huron, and our Home where the Heart is at the center. Growing up, Mary Lou thoroughly enjoyed the 4-H homemaking program. She successfully completed 24 projects and received a five year leadership certificate. We are very fortunate to live in such a prosperous area where the fertile soils support diversified agriculture. Green represents new growth and life. Orange and purple complement green. These 2 colours can be found in the colours of the rainbow, and at the beginning of the day when the sun rises and at the end of the day when the sun sets.
